Designed by Victor Palla in the late 1960's this southern Portuguese holiday village was completed before the end of the decade. Still under the rule of Salazar's dictatorship, it was designed for Portuguese tourists to visit from the north. Victor Palla was also a published street photographer, and as a photographer myself I can appreciate the compositional elements of his architectural designs that he incorporated into the village.
Here are a few of my observations. The light here is often clear from the south as we are on the Atlantic coast and dark clouds can often gather in the north giving the light an eery look. No Ai or heavy processing here.
